Audi has finally given us a glimpse inside the upcoming E-Tron, and its looking to be loaded with tech. It looks like the door panels will feature LCD screens which will serve as active blind spot monitoring cameras. All of the accented interior lighting really gives this cabin a futuristic feel.

I'm a fan of the big wrist pad on the shifter because it seems as car makers go minimalist with interiors, we're losing space to rest our arms comfortable. Its a non-issue if you do short commutes but I do long distance highway driving every day.

All the new tech and ambient lighting and you're sold on the wrist pad lol. I'm pretty surprised that Audi moved forward with the LCD screens on the door panels. I didn't think that those camera side mirrors would be cost effective to implement, though I see that they are expected to cut down on drag.

Audi is making these camera mirrors optional, though I don't know if that means you also lose out on the door displays. I personally think its a bit of a waste of money, as this is one of the first things that gets damaged in parking lots. I doubt the slicker design has much of an impact on performance with the reduced drag.

Audi has a 2019 A8L traveling around the US with the interior which will be in the E-Tron and eventually all Audi's. Quit impressive and fast functions. Never got excited about Tesla's tablet application for vehicle controls. The vehicle was never mentioned by Audi. I only found out that is shown by a sales rep. It is leaving Audi of North Scottsdale after this weekend July 29 and heading to CA. The end of the showing and back to Germany as it is German specs.
