Just had an email through to advise that BP Pulse network of chargers will be added to the etron charging service during August

We are pleased to announce that we are adding a new charge point operator, bp pulse, to our network during the month of August.
This will give you access to the largest public charging network in the UK covering almost 90% of all public charge points, with over 6,000 charging stations operated by bp pulse across the country.

When charging at these charging stations special terms apply, which you can find in the updated General Terms and Conditions.
You can find the changes highlighted at a glance in the attached PDF.

The new version of the amended General Terms and Conditions will automatically come into effect from August 1st, 2021. The tariffs and prices agreed with you remain unchanged.

The following prices apply when charging at bp pulse charging stations and will be integrated into your tariff during the month of August.
bp pulse’s pricing may vary over time and between locations. For more information about bp pulse pricing please access the e-tron Charging Service tariff page.

Prices as of July 2nd, 2021:
City TariffTransit Tariff

43 kW AC / 50 kW DC charging0.29 GBP/kWh + 10.00 GBP / hour after 90 mins0.29 GBP/kWh + 10.00 GBP / hour after 90 mins
120kW and above DC charging0.42 GBP/kWh + 10.00 GBP / hour after 90 mins0.42 GBP/kWh + 10.00 GBP / hour after 90 mins

In addition, our service now includes a bp pulse package option that offers reduced charging prices for a monthly fee. The package can be booked in your e-tron Charging Service account and can be cancelled at any time. The package will be available also during the month of August.
bp pulse’s pricing may vary over time and between locations. For more information about bp pulse pricing please access the e-tron Charging Service tariff page.

Unfortunately, we cannot continue to offer the e-tron charging service according to the previous GTCs. However, if you do not agree with the changes to the General Terms and Conditions, you can object (e.g. via e-mail) within one month of receiving this e-mail. If you do declare your objection, we will unfortunately have to terminate your contract.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Only a very marginal benefit though as far as I can see. The price is exactly the same ([email protected] / [email protected]) unless you pay the extra £7.85 pcm which again is exactly the same as BP direct.

The only advantages I can see are that (hopefully) the BP sites will appear in the MMI and we can now spend our £150 Audi credit on BP.

I suppose that it does show a small step towards integration but it really is just that, a small step.

Agree. No financial benefit to it but as you say, if it’s added to the map and the payment system (using the £150 credit up), then it’s a benefit for those that do travel a lot and subscribe to ECS. It’s one less RFID / app to worry about.
