Get this and brush on the back of the wheel mounting face and the wheel centre bore. This will prevent the back of the wheel mounting face from getting stuck on the hub mounting face due to salt, water corrosion, etc. It'll be easy peasy to remove the winter wheels in the springtime.

It is a perfect time to check the condition of the ball joint of each wheel while swapping the tires.

1. Grab the wheel with ea. hand at the 9 & 3 o'clock position.
2. Move the wheel in and out several times. There shouldn't be any at all - wheel movement.
3. Repeat procedure 1 with ea. hand at 6 & 12 o'clock position.
4. Move the wheel in and out several times. There shouldn't be any play at all - wheel movement.
5. If there's any play in either the procedure 1 & 4, you've got a bad ball joint.
6. Replace the bad ball joints - in pairs only, immediately to prevent ruining the tire(s).

Also, it's a good time to check the condition of each wheel bearing.

1. Rotate the wheel CCW or CW several times.
2. The wheel should rotate smoothly without making any noise.
3. If grinding or grating noises are produced, then you have a bad wheel bearing.
4. Replace the bad wheel bearing - in pairs only, immediately.
