Have been on and off the configurator on the Audi website for a couple of weeks, and have only just realised the dimensions diagram is actually a Q8 - it shows it as 4986x1995x1705 when in fact it's a bit smaller than that. Had been to a dealer to look at a Q8 as I mistakenly thought the dimensions were the same, whereas it's 4901x1935x1616!

They are close, but its good that Audi has shifted some proportions to help distinguish the e-tron from its ICE siblings. I've seen the same dimensions posted up on a few different sites. I think the wheelbase is unchanged.

As nice as these numbers are I realized that often you have to see these new vehicles in person to get a real sense of what you're dealing with. The cabin for example often feels bigger than it actually is which goes to show the efficiency automakers are finding these days. Great improvements to have considering what we used to have years ago, that is bulky designs.

Popped into a dealer this week and had a good look at the Q8 as I reckon the interior is pretty similar to the etron - very nice indeed and as usual with Audi remarkably well screwed together.
