Hi All,

I got the GT for 1 year, but never use any charge station, only charging at home...

Planning to drive to Indiana Wells this weekend for the Tennis Paradise, so does anyone know how can I find the free-charge enrollment code for Electrify America?

there is no code. you don't do it through the EA app. you do it through the MyAudi app. On the main screen of the MyAudi app scroll down to Electrify America and hit Start Charger.

The steps on actually how to charge with it are:

1. Plug in the cable
2. Start Charger
3. Input the charger number

No code. You gotta establish yourself as the key user on your MyAudi account. Then on the MyAudi app if you scroll down under Electrify America you’ll see an icon that says “Start Charger.” Click on that and it’ll open up the electrify America interface where it will ask you to enter your charger number:

• so when you go to an Electrify America charge station, plug you car in first
• once the charger recognizes your car and is ready you input the charger number into the app
• then click “start charging” in the app

Yes, because in becoming the key user in the app you must enter not only your VIN, but also the key car ID that should have come as plastic card tagged onto your spare key. Once you enter those two identifiers, there is a verification process the dealer completes, and once that is finished and you are set as the key user the app identifies you and your car. So when you open the electrify America app through the MyAudi app it basically ‘knows’ your car and your contract at that point.

So the charge station can recognize the car by the APP myAudi and make it free?

It actually works the other way around. The Audi app knows that you have free charging, and when you type in the charge station number in the Audi app, the Audi app back-end tells the EA charging station back-end to start a free charging session on that given charger.

I'm not sure they even know what kind of car it is that's connected ... (but maybe they do.) That'd be interesting to try some time
