I too love my Audis and this was a huge surprise to me that electric was being injected into the Audi line up. I've owned the Q-5 and currently in the Q-7. My wife and I was looking to get into the 2019 A-7. Any thoughts about that A-7? Anyway, just happy to find some people who are also interested in the E-Tron. Hello again!!!

last I checked the numbers weren't set in stone and after seeing rivals like the Model X come to market, most interested buyers have a general expectation.
Audi can only aim so low and quite frankly they haven't been in the business of disappointing buyers.

There are several different testing systems in place when it comes to the rated range of a new electric. According to early WLTP standards, we should be seeing around 248 miles. You also need to factor in the weather and your driving habits.

even battery degration over time will factor into those numbers which has me wondering if there's some break in period for the battery and related components till we see consistent numbers?

I believe that newer electrics take some time to learn your driving habits, so that can impact the range you see early on. Rapid charging has been found to be one of the biggest factors that impacts the lifetime of a battery.

as the public becomes more aware of these nuances that can be quite costly and discouraging from the start, it should help to scale up adoption of vehicle subscription packages.
