Looking for an Electric SUV

Hey folks, I've started looking into getting an electric SUV and the e-tron immediately peaked my interest. I've heard a lot good things about Audi's electric powertrain and I really like the design. Hopefully I can learn a lot here and hear what people think about it.

Welcome to the forum!
What good things have you heard?
As someone still on the fence about getting the e-Tron i'll appreciate you sharing the knowledge.

Thanks :)
Welcome Quattro44! Are you going to consider other EV's in your search or have you settled on the e-tron?
Thanks for the welcome everyone,

CityStig, what caught my attention is how quick the charging speeds are. I really like the idea of not being stuck too long in between charges while I'm on the go.

4Rings, the e-tron is the one that I've been focusing on so far but I've also looked at the I-Pace as well.

@Quattro44, completely agree. Charging once (overnight) and going about my entire day with no range anxiety in sight is a BIG motivator.
As a new owner, I found the research process challenging as there didn't seem to be much in depth info available. Wife wanted something "greener" but we weren't quite in agreement on vehicle type, she was leaning towards sedan and I preferred SUV for cargo and ground clearance (live rural so need to be able to get out from the rare heavy snow here). She's tall and doesn't fit well in many vehicles, and kids are all taller as well so wanted comfortable rear seats. Also have hearing issues that prevent conversation as road noise tends to mask speech frequencies. Started with hybrids, most lacked required head room, ones that fit still hard for her to hear. Looked at Tesla X but she really didn't like gullwing doors and I didn't like fit/finish. She always wanted a jag but roof slope made rear seats tights for kids and less dealers. Finally got her to look at the e tron, we're driving down the road and she realizes she can talk to our son in back seat AND hear the music simultaneously - just had to select color after that. She dislikes spending so much on a car, but hard to put a price on being able to talk while out for a drive. My biggest potential issue was range, found an article from Top Gear that tested all 3 same route, they all averaged right around 2 miles/kWh. Only had ours 3 days so still learning and adjusting, but so far very happy with our choice

Charging time is definitely one of the top things I'm looking for. The last thing I want is to be constantly looking at my range every time i git the road.
