no experience with the Macan EV but did own a new '21 Macan GTS.....handling and braking of the Porsche are superb as is the power but it does come at cost. Should add we own or have owned many Porsches.

although Porsche and Audi are in the same group IMHO Porsche are more sports oriented, In this part of the world a Q6 is circa $100k where a Macan EV is $150k. I have looked at the Macan and given the pricing shall probably not go ahead.

The new BMW iX3 looks very interesting with 800km range and fast charging ........similar $$$ as Q6

 

Agreed on the iX3. Had been thinking about a Q6 next but on paper the iX3 comes out way ahead if the expected price holds.

 

If I were in the market for a coupe-style SUV, my 1st choice would be the eMacan, and my 2nd choice would be the Q6/SQ6 Sportback.

For the normal SUV style, then, it would be the Q6/SQ6 as eMacan comes only in coupe-style SUV.

Not yet. But, I believe there are talks by the CA and CN Govs. on bringing the CN BEV tariffs free or some kind of tariffs to level the playing field.

 

I cant find park either everytime I drive my 928 GTS...........its a dogleg gearbox so finding reverse can be a challenge but for the life dont know where they put park..........it does have a handbrake!

Everybody knows that handbrake is just for doing Burt Reynolds U-turns. To park, you put the manual gearbox in any old gear and shut off the engine. Done.

Yeah, some days I miss rowing a manual and teasing a little spirited filly of an engine into singing her sweet song. And then I look around at all the hulking pickup trucks around me, and it's no. Just no.

 

I recently had an EV Macan as a loaner, is is more planted on the road (22" wheels) It's a more refined drive feel, fast, but heavier, the Q4 feels faster, but lighter. 4 wheel steering in the Macan is a big advantage regarding tracking.

 

Have you tried the Q6? Im not in need of a bigger SUV and would be upgrading for the lux and tech mostly so keeping the Q4 on another year or two lease if they'll give me a break is an option. Did the Macan make u want to upgrade?

 

Be careful if you are considering the Q6 at least for the time being. There are lots of software problems that are in limbo pending some type of resolution. Many have pursued buybacks. If you want to get closer to your dealer this is the vehicle to get.
