HI there,
I am about two weeks from taking delivery of a GT RS Daytona Gray (body/ grill matched color) and still not satisfied with the color rendition of the wheels (see attached)
Questions:
1- Are the gray flat detachable?
2- Anyone have power coat (black) just those flats, to keep the other part of the design of the spikes?
Any other ideas short of ordering a whole separate set of rims?

The silver triangular pieces are plastic and can be detached, but you won't like the look of it afterwards. I had the same issue and had them wrapped in CF instead. There's another thread in this forum covering all of that, will see if I can find it. The problem is the pinstriping. It is underneath the clear coating of the wheel so not easy to remove without re-doing the entire wheel.

Hi Does anyone know if the Audi OEM weels that come only on the RS in the UK will just fit the standard GT? I know when I test drove the car they had 21" wheels on but when asked they are not an option. I was thinking of buying some to replace the standard 20" wheels.

So you recommend wrapping versus powder coating (just the silver triangular pieces)?
Can you share some pics on your "final product"?

I went the wrap route, but that's just me. You can see if you like it in the pics in the other thread.

Yes, that's the one. I also used the same CF wrap on the spoiler. This wrap was a matte CF, was toying with the glossy finish instead to match the rest of the CF on the car. Bakus just posted a pic with the wheel powdercoated to eliminate the pinstriping, which is pretty nice.

I tolk Bakus that I kind of like keeping the pinstripping for a Daytona Gray (hard to tell but his looks like Black exterior).
Do you mind showing a pic of the spoiler with the wrap?
I am sorry, have waited for over 12 months (long story from my prior postings) and now want to have my "perfect look".
