Hi, We just took delivery of our new eTron on July 7. I have a question or two and wanted to see if anyone has an answer:
1 - is it okay to regularly charge the car to 100%? I have friends with Teslas and Tesla only recommends routinely charging to about 80% capacity. In the orientation of the new car, the dealer said it was okay to fully charge the eTron but I wanted to check with the Forum to see if that is what everyone else has experienced.
2 - There are different regenerative brake settings. In our orientation, the dealer said not to leave the highest regeneration level on while driving because somehow that uses more energy. On other electric vehicles, it doesn't matter. In fact, you can pretty much use the accelerator as a brake simply by easing up on it. one pedal to accelerate and brake unless extra braking was needed. It seems like a pain to have to manually hit the paddle to turn on the regenerative braking EVERY TIME you want the regenerative braking to slow the car down. So I wanted to know if it was okay to just leave it on the highest regenerative setting 100% of the time.

I just took delivery on the 12th...the dealer told me 100%a was ok. But I was going to get a Tesla and they do tell you 80%...What range do you show when you charge 100% . My dash only says 130Miles...

Not charging to 100% from what I realized comes from general knowledge about batteries. Its most commonly recommended with smartphones and largely up for debate.

Not sure if we can reset what the vehicles computer learns about our driving habits, which it uses for these numbers, but a reset of it might causes that number to change.
