Hello, I am eagerly awaiting my new e-tron! It should be arriving mid-week. I am also new to the EV scene. I know I need to have a 240V plug in installed in my garage. Also working on figuring out which home charger to get. I am considering the ChargePoint home flex charger. Can anyone tell me what is better to get, the NEMA 6-50 or NEMA 14-50?

Get the 14-50, that is what the Audi cable that comes with the car uses.

I use the Audi stock charger for my everyday charging at home. Whatever charger you decide to go with, make sure the cables will comfortably reach! Note, in the US, for any charger rated below 50A (the Audi stock charger is 40A), you can use a socket connection (eg, 14-50 NEMA). For 50A and above the charger must be hardwired.

I went with hardwired ChargePoint home flex and apart from the odd ball current control in the app, it works great. I had circuit prepared for 65A draw.
