Using my Audi OEM charging station at 50% I consume about 5.7 Kw per hour. Is this normal? This means it runs at about 24 amps not 20. However when I charge at 100% I get a perfectly normal 9.6 Kw consumption which is exactly 40 amps as specs.

I am using actual Kwh charged by my utility company and used data from many different charging sessions and individual hours as my smart electrical meter and the power utility app provides this level of detail.

Do you get similar performance with about 5.7 Kw or 24 amps at 50% Audi brick setting?

I'm pretty sure that this car's onboard charger supports "11kW" (240V*48A=11520W). When you're at 50%, you're correctly at 24A. When you go to 100%, you're being limited by the fact that this is a plug-in EVSE and you're capped off at 40A. If you use a hardwired EVSE, you'll get up to 48A on a 60A circuit.
