Passenger Screen - Black Out and Flickering

Has anyone experienced the passenger display randomly blacking out or flickering while driving? I took the delivery 4 days back and have the software version 03.01.00/c .

It’s happened to me a 4-5 times now — screen blacks out for a few seconds and then comes back. Wondering if this is a software bug or if I should get the dealer to check it. Any advise on fix ?

This does not sound like software. It could be a faulty screen or connector. Definitely take it to the dealer.

The screen can go blank when its trying to reboot after an OTA MMI update, have you done an MMI Reboot?

(Park safely, then press and hold down the volume on/off dial for 10 seconds. All the screens will reboot and it takes a couple of minutes)

It is not unusual to get MMI OTA updates, these include themes, map updates and app but it does seem for some that it doesn't always complete the update. ( This is not a full system update, but does effect other parts of the cars system)

This month there's been two OTA updates these were around 07th and 25th, normally there's at least one a month.

For what’s it’s worth you can also do this while you are driving. It does not affect the drivability of the vehicle.
