Hi,
I think it would be interesting for people to share their software versions and share if they have some bugs/features/annoyances specific to those releases.

My Q4 shows:

Softwareversion	3608

Two minor annoyances:
1) The privacy splash-screen at startup cannot be disabled (says I'm a guest user). This should be fixed in the november update afaik.
2) My clock has twice reset itself to 1970. At that point I cannot enable the automatic time synchronization, it disables itself whenever I activate it. The clock will correct itself a few restarts later.

Has anyone had their software updated after delivery, and to what versions?

At least on the 2019 and 2021 Quattro 55 verisons, the splash screen cannot be disabled. To make it go away, just start the car (or select a different profile using the roller button). You might want to create a Personal Profile for yourself. That can save you some pain if it has to go to the dealer and they do work that affects settings saved in a profile: the Dealer can just set it to Guest while working on the car

Not causing too much inconvenience to date - as I just use the app for my wall box (Andersen konnect) for charge scheduling - but fingers crossed for the update

I actually thought I’d found a way to do charge scheduling with the MyAudi app - as on v4.4 of the iOS app, if you click and hold the icon, you get a pop up menu which includes an option for “charge vehicle with timer”
.. but I wouldn’t particularly recommend clicking on it - because I just got loads of http errors for my pains -and now I also get various errors whenever I run MyAudi such as “Audi connect services could not be updated“ - so I must have upset it!

Interesting, the MyAudi app has just started coming up with the following error (I didn’t push the schedule button you mentioned above), is it the same as your error?

The iOS app updated from 4.3 to 4.4 a couple of days ago - so whether it’s due to v4.4 - or just temporary server issues at Audi?

The app still updates ok with range/charge status etc though - so the limited functions that it had are still working.

After I went out to my car this morning, the app started working again. I’m pivoting to the opinion that systems shut down if not used a while. I was out of town for 4 days. During that time, it failed to communicate. This is probably a battery-saving procedure. My 6-yr old Tesla Model was always reachable, BUT the battery decreased 1.25-1.50% per day. My GT lost no charge in 4 days.

Hi, on the Q4 the whole concept of user profiles on the MMI isn't there (yet, I believe).

Are you sure you're not accidentally triggering the flux capacitor when this happens? When in 1970, of course the automatic time synchronization isn't going to work since the appropriate satellites aren't orbiting the earth yet.

Haha, that was actually my thought exactly. I’ll see if I can find a 1.21 gigawatt charger and try to reach 88 mph. I’m lucky it is capped at 160 km/h and not 140.
I’ll update this post last sunday if I succeed

Took delivery of my Q4 40 S-Line Sportback yesterday and the software version is 3608, build date was 6th October. I was hoping it would have the update that is due to be released week 48.

Does anyone know if this update will download automatically to the car or is a dealer visit required ?

I called the dealer today asking if there will be an OTA update. He didn’t know and couldn’t see any available updates for my car.

Contacted Audi digital services support: this is their reply: long story short: confirmation on all discussed above that software update will be needed but they have zero information on that. Looks like the teams are simply working completely separate. Shame that Audi has missed the digital change needed to be able to do quick/proper OTA updates. Even VW was able to do it, Audi as a premium brand should be ashamed if they can't turn things around and bring their digital services to higher standards, ....that means higher as VW in line with the pricetag of the car.

I hope someday - hopefully in the near future - that Audi will live up to it and deliver accordingly.

Maybe it would be wise to have an honest coordinatet information strategy that did not leave employees in some kind of "limbo" trying to help customers.

But what do we know, we are only customers!

I hope someday - hopefylly in the near future - that Audi will live up to it and deliver accordingly.

I got chatting to a guy in my gym today who is on his second E-Tron and has been driving them since 2019. I mentioned the software issue and he said it was the same for them until they got the update that allowed scheduling etc and since it has been great. Fingers crossed after the big update is done and OTA is enabled we will be in a whole different world. Hindsight, maybe don’t jump on a new model until it’s been out for a couple of years and teething problems are ironed out, suspect all manufacturers will have similar with new models as being quick to market far outweighs quality issues for customers who already bought: I guess if they were open about the issues it would limit sales.
