I've posted about this issue in the pinned issues/faults thread, but I've had some additional information from the Audi dealership and I thought it might be worth a separate post to see if anyone else has received the same.

Shortly after receiving the car, an error “Vehicle charging connection: fault” appeared. The vehicle appeared to charge fine on AC/DC and the error disappeared a day or so later.

However, significant charging failures started a couple of days later. On public/fast charging stations, sessions often terminate within minutes and display errors such as “Charging not possible. A technical error occurred" and “An error has occurred in the charging network"

I have tested multiple charging providers, sites, and charging speeds, with the same result.

Following diagnostic inspection, my local Audi service department has acknowledged there is a TPI on their system for the fault but there is no known fix: "vehicle detects an internal overcurrent when the charging station is activated and the charging process is stopped".

They have subsequently shared the TPI/service bulletin reference with me, which is 2077734/1. There is nothing posted publicly, as far as I can find, and not that I would expect there would be.

Has anyone else had the same fault and details shared by Audi?

I’ve had issues with Charing at DC chargers from delivery, it always used to fail and they looked at it and then it started to work but would never get high speed charging even with single number SOC. I was told they couldn’t find anything wrong, but interestingly when I had calibration done after a new screen the report showed many charging issues.
