Does the detailed work from a typical steel frame, steel clad unit? If it is sat inside somewhere like that it is basically a Faraday cage so wouldn’t connect to the mobile network

 

Something similar happened to our Q6. The app just stopped connecting to the car and would say "never updated" when we tried to refresh the home screen of the app. For us, the solution was in the Privacy Settings. Somehow, the Mobile Data option had been turned off. As soon as turned it back on, the app started connecting again. No idea how it turned itself off, but that was it for us.

 

The dealer might have an SOP to turn off remote access before starting work and turn it back on after, and forgot the 'after' part.

 

Its SOP for a lot of work to either disconnect the battery or hook it up to a tender to avoid drain from having the doors open all the time.
