I traded in my 21 Etron SUV for the new sportback over the weekend. Really happy with the updated car and more range :)

Congrats, love my 22 sportback! Out of 7 audi's between my wife and I since 2001, this is the best!

Thanks! Fully charged at the dealer was showing 289. Will be interesting to see what the reality is with my daily driving

How did you go about your trade in? How much more are you paying now? Here, the 2024 is significantly more expensive (and requires the $7500 technology package to get similar features) than my 2022.
I just traded it in and used it towards the down payment. I decided to lease this car versus purchase as it was significantly more expensive than my 21 which was just premium trim
Always curious why people would buy the sport back versus the SUV. The sportback has less space and costs more. Is there some big advantage that I'm missing? Just curious, not implying any criticism.

for me it was simply the style. Yes it’s silly/nonsense that it costs more but we just liked the look more! (And didn’t mind losing some trunk space)

All comes down to design preference. Personally I think it looks better, plus you do now get a slight bump in range versus the traditional SUV body

I'm coming from a 2019 etron quattro SUV to a 2024 Q8 etron Sportback. For me, the 10mi added range played a role in my decision. Also, I was looking for something a little different from the SUV I had been driving for 4 years. I like the styling of the Sportback (this seems to be counter to popular opinion in the US, but then, I'm not an SUV fan and actually swallowed deep and "settled" for my 2019 etron) and I think its cargo space will suit my needs fine--in my four years of ownership of the SUV, I never once even had to put the back seat down to haul something, so the SUV really offers more cargo space than I need. I'll trade that for more range.

I Would like to know how much extra range it really has. I have the 2020 sportback. In theory 400 km. Practically 330 km. When traveling have to stop every 200-230 km max (charging between 10-80%), so really often.
Anyone with the 2024 q8 sportback has range comparison experience ? I have to buy a new car and doubt to go again for the Etron. The battery hasnincreased about 20 % but they claim the range increased 33%.. i find that hard to believe...
Overall, there are also changes to the drivetrain and, especially for the Sportback, an improvement in air resistance. If you find you need to subtract 70km from your theoretical 400 km range on the 2020, I bet if you subract the same 70km from the Q8 Sportback theortical range, you would likley come close the the true range based on your driving habits. I can't give you real world result--my Sportback is still on its way.
