I have worked on many cars over the years with airbags and even Fiber optic in the door, I would be surprised it throws a cod that needs to be reset by dealer. Door panel not a big deal and if it does tell the dealer SA car needs an update or computer reset.

Regrettably I have to add myself to the list of owners with door rattles. Same door as others, what is my drivers door / right hand door the glass rattles when going over rough surfaces / potholes.

Took it into Newcastle Audi for them to diagnose when they also did the 3 recalls, the fix was ’special tape’ which worked for all of 4 miles. Worse still and as some fear, in applying the ‘fix’ the door card now creaks when you push against it and the lower b pillar trim now creaks as well! Awaiting a call back to book it in to be done again. Took 6 weeks to get that non courtesy car supported appointment, should open a book as to how long it’ll be before they can book it back in….

It‘s a shame as aside inconsistent brake pedal feel, my car after a year and 10k miles has been faultless, this rattle only started after the colder weather we’ve had recently.

Then as you know, our newer Audi vehicles may come equipped with the door exit warning system. Each door has a module in it that if disconnected with the power on, or the power turned on without the door module being connected, it throws the door exit warning system into a fault that has to be cleared by the dealer.



This has happened on my GT three times now. Each time the dealer created the fault when working on the doors and didn't realize it until I pointed it out to them on the dash 😂

Just throwing this in here for context. My car is a ‘22 Prestige GT, shipped from the factory the first week of November. I have not had a single rattle. The cat is as solid and rattle free as every other Audi I’ve owned. I am guessing they got enough feedback from owners via the dealership network that they started some modified manufacturing process at Neckarsulm starting late Fall ‘22. I’d be interested if anyone that has builds after Fall are having any of these rattling issues.
