Lots of rain this week - when I lifted the tailgate, I noticed a flood of water flowing out of the right luggage area privacy cover attachment. If I moved the tailgate, it sounded like it was full of water and more water came out of this same area. Seems like there's a leak that fills up the tailgate and it empties when lifted. Anyone else notice this? Thanks, Carl

I think that the water collects in the seam just under the rear tail light under surface tension and is released when the tailgate is raised above 45 degrees. It then runs towards either side of the tailgate and drips vertically from the edges into the boot/luggage area. It can bypass the vertical drip route by passing behind the black trim. I’ve got a video of this happening but not sure if I can share it on this forum. Perhaps a YouTube link if anyone’s interested.
A link would be useful. I generally park my car in a garage, so leak issues are sort of the last problem I come across. However, I'm in Western Oregon and the rainy season is just getting underway!
The least technical solution I found so far is to use the electric tailgate opener button to raise it to around 30° and then to stop it opening further by pushing the button again. The water will then drain into the gutter and you can still reach the button to double push to open it the full way.
And here I thought one benefit of an ICE platform would be a lack of these basic issues. Is there anything getting into the guttering, anything we can look for to keep clean? From the videos your car looks immaculate.
