Plugged an OBDEleven in. Wanted to see how quickly the battery gets up to temperature and then the effect on consumption and charge speed. Also interested to know how much power is sucked from the battery to power the main battery's heating/cooling system and cabin etc.

Just exploring at the min. Its a pretty nifty gadget.

Ok.. it was yesterday.. but it was my first out of town trip - we went about 45 miles out of London to the picturesque village for a picnic. Last minute decision left at 1 got there around 2.. and pared up next to the village cricket pitch for our picnic.. very impressed with how the car drives and the ability to switch from "comfort" to "dynamic" depending on the type of roads. Active regen (automatic mode) worked very effectively and the change in efficiency rates, over the more varied road types and undulations, was considerable. In town I am achieving somewhere between 1.9 and 2.3, where was the trip which involved some motorway and country roads driving, averaged 2.9. Consequently the range adjusted, and whilst I left with a 100% charge and range of 154 miles, I arrived home, after completing 95 miles, with a 95 mile range. I had the aircon on ECO (didn't seem any different to normal), and in either Dynamic or Comfort mode. Clearly the GOM is adjusting for the better efficiency. All in all a very comfortable, super quiet, enjoyable and easy drive. :)

Sounds like a great day out. The weather looks wonderful. The A/C serves two purposes: 1) to cool the air if the outside ambient is warmer than desired; and, 2) to dehumdify the air. If the outside air is cool enough and you don't have a problem with the window fogging up, you can turn the A/C off to gain a little more efficiency; otherwise, it will work to dehumdify the air (cool it down so the heat pump can warm it up!) when that is not necessary.

Nice one @RICH290
I've just got back from 1.5hrs of evening driving. My first long(ish) drive in months.

Dynamic, Sport mode, stability contol off. Lots of fun. I'd forgotten how much this car makes me smile for a variety of reasons. Temps between 11°c and 16°c. Battery a healthy 18°c from cold start (its been warm here today) and a sporty drive returned 2.8m/kWh over 50 miles.

Now reading the other thread about what car to choose next after the lease is up and panicking!!

Yes, for me, driving it is more fun than I had anticipated, it being an SUV. The low center of gravity makes it more nimble than you would expect for its size and weight.

Got my radar detector hardwired along with front/rear dashcam. With windows and sunroof now tinted, that's all I've got planned anytime soon!

"4k" image, it's a bit grainy, but more than enough for a dash cam.

The rear cam is 1080p and the tint darkens the image a bit, but not bad.

2022 E-tron, I also put in a dashcam today, power from the cigar lighter in the center console routed along the "A" pillar with the 12 to 5 vdc converter in the front pop out windshield mirror bezel. I held off on the radar detector for now. Jc
