If we had it to do over....
My wife is the primary driver of the Audi. She chose it. (I wanted the Tesla Model S). We do like the eTron for daily driving. But if we had it to do all over again, we would NOT get the eTron for one reason: the range is the lowest of any comparable electric cars. Even the Jaguar has a higher range. 200 miles is just not a long enough range, especially given how difficult it is to find a convenient charging station and then find it unoccupied and then be able to spend 30 minutes charging. Yesterday I had a meeting that was 90 miles away (180 miles round trip) and my schedule was too tight to add in time for charging. So I decided not to take the eTron because I was too concerned that the 200 mile range that shows for a full charge would not have actually given me 200 actual miles due to the traffic conditions....so I ended up taking my 15 mpg Toyota Sequoia instead.
So...we are not going to trade in the eTron BUT I recommend that anyone considering an eTron should be aware that it is really only practical as a daily commute vehicle and not for any trips over 180 miles. The charging stations are nowhere near as prevalent or convenient as Tesla charging stations yet. We have yet to find an Electrify America charging station where we can use our free 1000 hours of charging that came with the car.
