This implies, based on limited reading - mind you, that the phone is not saved in the MMI and every time you connect is seems like a brand new device. That is when this alert is being displayed.

I don't see this, but I sure am tired of seeing and having to tap on "Go to connected devices" Every Single Day. Why can't it just GO TO CONNECTED DEVICES? And then comes the tap to turn off the backup camera so that I can tap on the Homelink icon to display the icon that I tap on to close the garage door, and then shift into neutral and back to reverse to turn the backup camera back on, and then pull the regen paddle twice to turn on regen...the tedious daily ritual that software could so easily take care of.

Of course, the answer to my question and to your question and to a dozen (at least) other questions -- stupid, clueless programmers and lazy, clueless software managers.

 

Instead of GO TO CONNECTED DEVICES you can just click HOME and go to AA or CP or whatever.

Garage door opener is a bit of a miss...should have just been a hard button like "olden times".
But also you can hit the parking camera physical button to turn it on and off.

 

I had this for a while, and then started the whole set up from scratch, and since then, it just works. In my case, it’s Apple CarPlay. It’s very finicky.

 

Those of us with heated steering wheels can't use the star system to call up the garage and gate openers. I live in Southern California, so of course I have a heated steering wheel.

 

Audi wish list:
Short press garage door, long press heated steering.

 

Lol I’ve had this happen before and I can’t figure out why it did it for so long and why it stopped. Primary key. Removed and re added device. Nothing seemed to work and then one day it was fine. Just more evidence why the mmi is so trash and behind the competition
