Hi,
I'm currently looking at this 2019 prestige etron with 36,451 miles on it and would love this forum's take on the deal.

I've heard a lot about 2019s having issues with coolant leaking into the motor and definitely want to avoid buying into a whole set of problems. I'm considering buying this and then immediately getting an Audi service appointment to verify that it's in good shape.

I'd appreciate any advice on this car or about the general process of buying a used e-tron since this is my first EV purchase.

Side note: the lowered prices (including leases) on the Model Y have caught my attention but the e-tron just seems like such a nicer car with a carplay.

Thanks!

Buy and then get an inspection? Seems backwards. Dealer should allow you to take the car for a day or two to have it checked out before you buy.

I bought a 2023 Etron Prestige used (24 miles on it, long story) in June 2023. I enjoy everything about the vehicle except several anomalies in the MMI operation which have been mentioned in other posts. My 2023 has had zero issues that require maintenance (didn’t take it in for the MMI; nothing dealer can do; hoping for software update). The vehicle’s advantages for me outweigh the MMI issues: safety features are numerous, enjoy the limited but useful self drive, luxurious ride, no fuel cost (excess home solar = $0), good build quality (no rattles so far), far less expected maintenance cost vs gas vehicle. Limited range, about 180 miles on an 80% charge is fine for my needs. Audi recommends 80% normally for battery longevity, but alternatively I personally would not worry too much if I needed to charge to 100% regularly to get over 200 miles.

great point - i'll do it before.

out of curiosity did you find an independent mechanic that works on etrons to check yours out or did you just go to another dealer with a service department?

I purchased a 2019 in Dec. 2022 with 27,000 miles. Haven't had any service issues other than an update. I almost at 40,000 miles and everything is ok. Last full charge was 215 miles. Gary

Add me to the list of happy customers. I bought my 2019 Edition One in early June with just over 35k miles. I'm now at 43k, recently had my 40k mile service, and everything looks great. I've had a few TSBs applied (mostly software updates) for little glitches and my driver's door latch replaced, and the dash top replaced due to the leather beginning to bubble all under warranty (that has since expired based on time.)

Hey! Bought CPO 2019 Prestige in July 2022. It had about 15K miles. Since then had TSBs, dash top replaced due to bubbles and - the biggest issue was battery modules replacement, when car's range at 80% SoC dropped to around 145 miles almost overnight. All these were covered by warranty. Dash top replacement took about 1.5 week, and battery modules replacement took around a month for my dealer here Sarasota, FL, so that's something to keep in mind. Car runs perfect and has now almost 33K miles on it. Good luck!
