Thinking about activating some hidden features for my Etron gt, would like to know if I can have that rear light effects by coding?
Tried tonight using OBDeleven and on our GT Quattro you can't turn on the light animations using the quick apps and you can't turn on the ambient lighting either (which you can see is in the right areas of the dashboard and console). I guess its either for someone to unlock @OBD or long coding or a hardware issue. Made some other changes and adjustments but not the ones I really wanted! There is an option for JP rear light animation on OBD eleven for e-tron SUV
For GT there seems to only be OBDeleven Scadanavian rear DRL which keeps your rear light bar on during the day.
Check out OBDeleven GT page for one-click options, If you have seen someone else do it it may be getting talked about on the OBD eleven forums, if it's there it'll likely be long coding which requires a subscription for OBD Evelen as far as I am aware.
Byte 10 Bit 2 "Acceleration display, Yes"Not sure if this has been posted yet ...
I was able to activate tire pressure view in the virtual cockpit using the following instructions.
- In Virtual Cockpit, Vehicle Functions menu, steering wheel menu button will show "Sport" menu and a tire pressure view is available here after following instructions below.
17 Dash Board
Long coding
Acceleration display
Old value: No
New value: Yes
Restart MMI after coding
Did you scroll down using the scroll wheel on left side of steering wheel when G-meter is displayed?Byte 10 Bit 2 "Acceleration display, Yes"
I tired this but only get the non-functioning G-meter to display.
I even tried checking the box in byte 4 bit 0 for TPMS but still nothing.
Also drove around a bit to make sure it wasn't dependent on the 15mph startup limit for the TPMS.
Do you have any pics of what the TPMS display in the VC looks like?
YesDid you scroll down using the scroll wheel on left side of steering wheel when G-meter is displayed?
Tried it yesterday and it works. It also works without Byte 10 Bit 2 "Acceleration display, Yes"I figured it out now.
You also have to activate Byte 11 Bit 2 "Tire pressure monitoring: BAP distance, Yes"
Byte 4 bit 0 for "TPMS, Yes" isn't needed.
Interesting. Did that then disable the non-functional acceleration display as well?Tried it yesterday and it works. It also works without Byte 10 Bit 2 "Acceleration display, Yes"
Not yet but working on it….. this was an option on both my b8.5 and b9 S5s…was nice.Does anyone know if either VCDS or OBD11 offer the option to change the default drive mode on startup? I remember doing this way back with my B8 S4 and vag-com(?)
I just want it to start in individual mode. Changing the brake regen setting would be a big bonus too...
Yes. It's just the tyre pressure on that displayInteresting. Did that then disable the non-functional acceleration display as well?
Perfect!Yes. It's just the tyre pressure on that display
One thing I've noticed is if I shut the car off with the TPMS displaying in the VC that when I return it has "reset" to like the default first menu item in the Sports Display and is now displaying lap times, and if I switch to Trip Computer that has also "reset" to the top of the list and is displaying date and time.Perfect!
Done.
So for VC TPMS you just need
Byte 11 Bit 2 "Tire pressure monitoring: BAP distance, Yes" in module 17 - Instruments.
Cool
Bonjour, situé en France, j'aimerais savoir si vous aviez trouvé une solution ? Merci pour votre travail. Not yet but working on it….. this was an option on both my b8.5 and b9 S5s…was nice.
Keep us in the loop! Not yet but working on it….. this was an option on both my b8.5 and b9 S5s…was nice.
I've had an A6 loaner and an A4 loaner (as you do with these cars...) and both seemed to start up in the last drive mode. Not yet but working on it….. this was an option on both my b8.5 and b9 S5s…was nice.
GT saloon or SUV?Hi all,
Can anyone with a 2024 confirm that OBDEleven works? I have VCDS, but unfortunately after hooking it up to my 2024 RS, I can only get into the CANBUS module, and locked out of the rest.
