It’ll be a USA only thing, their Audi branch seem to care. Audi UK do not even recognise the battery issues yet (add to this the dash glue issue, sun roof leaks etc). I think we need to pester Audi UK in bulk to have these extended warranty features brought to us. However, I think it will fall on deaf ears, as how else can they get you to upgrade.

Got my letter over the weekend. Funny because my '22 E-Tron S has been at the dealer for over 3 months getting the front motor replaced. I'm glad to see there's a warranty extension. 🤞🏼 that this effing dealer got it right. Do NOT go to Audi Palo Alto if you live in the Bay Area of California.

I have Audi (E Tron Used Vehicle Plan (2 Services & Maintenance)), in it it mentions replacement of parts and cost. It doesn't mention that an electric engine replacement is not covered. My Q50 is currently with Audi getting a replacement engine, they agreed to cover the cost of the engine but not the labour costs, should they are the service plans states replacement costs and repair costs.

Has anyone that is “NOT” the original owner received this extension? In speaking with someone at Audi, they said this would only be offered to original owners(maybe they were just saying this to get me to buy a new one….), and that the extension would only be valid if the recommended maintenance schedule was followed. I just bout a 2021 etron sportback and wondering if it will apply.

Thanks! Will do. The sales guy at Audi on Saturday told me that the only time he’s heard Audi honor the extension was if the original owner had brought the vehicle for all of the scheduled maintenance on time.
Obviously, I had no control over the maintenance for the first 30k miles before I bought it.
Hope Audi of north America can add some clarity.
LOVE this vehicle but super nervous about motors dying after reading a Reddit thread…

I spoke with Audi of North America. They confirmed the warranty extension on the drive motors to 10 years and 120,000 miles.
They also mentioned an extension on the leather on the dash for delamination for 8 years, 80,000 miles and warranty on the sunroof for 7 years, 80,000 miles.

I just bought this last weekend, dealer says I can still trade it in for another EV…a Honda prologue.
Etron sportback is $32,500 out the doorwith taxes and a 5 year 75,000 warranty on everything, with no aggregate limits on warranty coverage(warranty is $4k). It’s a 2021 with 37k miles.

The prologue would be $38,500 out the door without any additional warranties(all factory), and only 100 miles.

Any thoughts on which to go with?
The Eron is clearly a much nicer interior… but after reading on this forum, it seems like the Eron will be in the shop all of the time.

Has anybody actually had a positive experience running their E tron without many issues?

I’ve had a great experience so far with my 2022 Sportback, no major mechanical issues (knock on wood!). I think someone posted a while back on this forum that you get the impression from reading posts there are a number of issues with the Etron, but you need to remember that most people only post their issues here, not the fact that the car is great and they are not having any issues…so it’s not necessarily a comprehensive data sample. I think the Etrons are an excellent value preowned if you are looking for a luxury EV. Now that Audi has added the warranty on the driver motors, that makes the cost of ownership even better in my opinion. So overall, I have had and hope to continue to have an overall positive experience with my Etron. I really hope they bring the Q8 Etron back into production so once my warranty expires, I can get another one. I think comparing the Honda to the Audi is apples and oranges IMHO, but it’s all about driving experience…..both cars are good options. Hope that helps.
