I thought it may be beneficial to start a mod/tune/what did you do to your GT today thread.
Couple ground rules -
1. Posts must have photos
2. No mod/tweak/etc to small
3. No negative or "why would you" or "to each his own" comments
My reasoning and thought for this thread...I believe there are a bunch of "new to EV" people like me out there that may feel behind the curve about this stuff. I have extensive experience in moding/upgrading and tweaking ICE cars, Audi, BMW, Land Cruiser, etc, etc.
I will get us started - so my GT (non-RS) gets loaded late today & delivered Monday late or Tuesday morning from TX. She is a 2023 Premium Plus...WS is posted here so you see what I am dealing with...cars name is Bad Boy.

Here are my initial plans for Bad Boy:
- 20% Tint all around (my guy comes Tuesday afternoon)
- HyperDip the wheels (photo attached) all black. The wheels are black in the background and the front flat surface is silver as you can see. I am going to attempt to tape everything inside the silver about 1/4 inch or so and HyperDip everything exposed.
- Tap the rear view mirror for my Uniden R7 (all my cars are tapped, love it)
- VAGCOM / VCDS - I have had the cable for 10+ years and every Audi I have owned has been coded. This area is an example of what I was referring to above being a rookie in the EV world. I am still trying to learn what can and cannot be coded and tweaked. My initial goal is the basics I always do: Seat Belt Chime, Video in Motion, Hold Unlock to lower windows, needle sweep. Again, I really don't know what is available, what is already standard and what is not capable.
- A very large dog bed with side walls that spans the back seat 48" - 53" wide, both seats would be folded down for the drive to the beach. I currently use a hammock style that loops over the headrests but I am thinking about switching to a dog bed concept seeing how the seats fold flat.
- Charging setup. My primary home's power company has a $1000 install credit and Beach how power company has a $500 install credit. So I am still debating whether I just have a 240 outlet installed at both houses and use the Audi Charger back and forth or hardwire the Emporia charger (this is the one I like after watching many reviews) at my primary house, 240 outlet at the beach and used the Audi Charger at the beach. When we go to the beach we take 2 cars and my car usually sits all weekend as well there is a Level 2 on the island I can mooch and my neighbor one canal over has a Tesla so maybe I can mooch that too. What concerns me or is bothering me (due to being dumb about the electrical stuff in this EV world) is not having a physical 240 outlet at my primary house if I do the hardwire. I suppose I could go outlet and plug in the Emporia and lose some power.

- Tint a visor on the windshield (I like the look, the function of it driving into the sun and hiding behind it at a camera light)
