before you take it in, you might try a reboot from the car's deepest sleep state. That can clear transient alerts. 1)roll up all the windows, 2) stop the car, get out and close all the doors, including charging ports; 3) lock the car with the fob, clicking the lock button twice within 5 sec to turn off motion sensors (Ferry Mode); 4) remove all fobs far from the car and do not access the MyAudi app; wait at last 2 hours before restarting the car.

Also having sensor malfunctions too. Taking my car to the dealership on Monday.
I'm curious to hear what your dealer says. It seems we're both experiencing the same issue. I'm taking mine in first thing tomorrow morning and will be sure to update you as soon as I hear back. I've done quite a bit of research, and while unplugging the 12V battery might temporarily clear the alerts, I’ve also read cases where a control unit needed replacement, which can take some time if the part is not in. It's frustrating, especially considering the car is only two months old, and the Q6 is certainly not an inexpensive vehicle.

Good luck.

Any luck on your end? My dealership hasn’t done anything for the past 2 days and very frustrated with the lack of progress they made. They are still diagnosing the issue and don’t even understand what I’m asking for with regards to charging speed being low. My wife is the main user of this car and she wants to be able to return the car for a new one 🤦‍♂️

I completely understand your frustration. I’m feeling it too. Unfortunately, the dealership still hasn’t looked at my car after a few days. I received a call yesterday informing me that it’s being transported to another Audi facility so that an expert can take a look at it.

The service advisor had no idea what I meant by “3.9 kW,” and while I tried to remain polite, it’s clear they’re not equipped to support this new platform.

I’ve already reached out to a Lemon Law attorney, as I don’t anticipate getting the car back within the 20-day timeframe.

I would appreciate any updates from your side as well.

yeah my service advisor had no idea about 3.9 kW too. They are certainly not equipped or trained. With that said, the tech supposedly updated the software yesterday and the malfunction issue went away and wanted to keep it overnight to make sure. And will test drive this morning. And will plug into charger and see it charges at higher kW. I emailed the GM of the dealership to escalate and also to Audi corporate. Good idea on the lemon lawyer.

Interesting. Do you happen to know which version of the software they upgraded to?
No, he didn’t mention the version. But he also said this morning that there’s going to be “bigger software update” in the near future which will solve this. The update they did is temporary and the same issues may come back. But no time table on when this “bigger” update will happen. WTF?! Looking into lemon law attorney too.

How does Audi think this is acceptable? This car is far from inexpensive, and this situation is absolutely unacceptable. As soon as I receive any updates regarding my vehicle, I’ll be sure to share them with you. I recommend speaking with a lawyer. Most Lemon Law attorneys offer free consultations and don’t charge for litigation. Instead, they typically take a percentage of whatever settlement is reached with the manufacturer. Thanks for keeping me posted. This is freaking ridiculous.

Got more details from the actual tech that worked on it (sent me a video of the car with the tech talking). As for the charging, he mentioned that there was faults corruption by one of the chargers and he cleared it out. But they only have level 3 charger (for real???) and charged at 2.8 kW which doesn’t help at all. And he mentions that it could be caused by my charger at home but how does it charge at 3.9 kW when I went to charge at my neighbors charger? And how do I even know if my home charger is at fault and will cause corruption as soon as I get home. This just doesn’t make sense. As for the malfunctioning lights, he said it was cleared out but may come back temporarily and go away. Audi is aware of this issue and working on it. Which does not ease my mind at all. Ugh. If you want, I can send you the actual video clip too.

I would appreciate if you can send the video.
it makes no sense that both you and I are having the same 3.9 kW max AC charging issue. On top of all the other warning messages. I tested charging on four different AC chargers. Home, work, public AC chargers.
This is not an issue on the chargers at home.
I also had a friend who drives another EV charge at my house, and he was able to get. 7.8 kW which is what my circuit can handle.

Tell them to go out and "borrow" a portable EVSE from one of the cars sitting in their inventory.
If you've got a problem with AC charging, the tech testing it against a DC charger is 100% worthless.

Just a note on this: Audi is now shipping a lot of etrons with a new version of their Compact Charger. It is set to charge at 32A and cannot be configured, as opposed to the configurable 20/40 A of the earlier charger.

Okay but does it limit the level 2 charge rate at 3.9 kW? That’s not much higher than level 3 and no point in spending several hundred dollars to install level 2 at home.

This was mentioned above and I assume everyone experiencing this issue already checked, but your battery conservation function is disabled right?

I had a Level2 charger installed and it peaks at 9.6Kw despite being 48A capable. When I did the research - it appears to be a limitation on the US models - and might even be a hardware limitation because of the charge adapter that's installed on the vehicles. I'm curious if the SW patch fixed the issue - and if a future SW patch might unlock the ability to do full 48A charging at home? I've read some articles speculating that to support the promised upgraded home charging system the AC charge module might have to be swapped physically?

This is normal the Q6 only has a 9.6 kW onboard charger so it can only take 40 Amps.
