Is it normal to see wires here?

Don’t know. I can’t see any on my Q4 through the opening behind the bonnet release lever, but I have a right-hand drive variant.

 

Hmm any US car owners?

 

I checked my 2023 Q4. There is an opening there at the base of the hood release. I didn’t have light shining in there. Without any direct light I did not discern any wires.

 

Thanks for taking a look and confirming there is supposed to a hole. I wonder if the issue is they didn't tuck the wire

 

Similar gap on my US market 2023 Q50. Can barely see it though. Could close it up with some black electrical tape if its really bothersome.

 

It is black in there and not noticeable. If you see the wires, ask the dealer to fix it as a warranty item. That is my suggestion.

 

Just checked my 2023 Q4 with a flashlight and I see the wires as well. Not an issue for me as I would have never noticed it, if not for this post.

Cost cutting. It appears to be a pull point to get wiring through the conduit. They needed an opening for the hood release lever. So they enlarged it to get access to the conduit for wiring going through there.

 

It's normal to see either the 1st one, the hood release lever cable attachment or the 2nd one, the wire bundle for whatever electronic equipment.
Affix a 2" or wider foam tape to cover the gap and call it a day.
