LTE SIM??

Does anyone know where the LTE SIM on a Q4 is hidden?

Basically I've had the car a week now, the LTE service worked for the first three days and hasn't worked since (The MMI says 3G it should say LTE)
Trying to get any sense out of my Audi dealer is like talking to a brick wall. They keep telling me that the Audi servers are busy because it's (was) the end of the month.
I've just spoken with Audi digital services/MyAudi support team. we've tried various things including a factory reset. Basically the car's connectivity is broken. I'm wondering if it just needs the SIM (if it has one) reseating.

Can anyone help?

Hi Andrew, I was hoping you'd reply as you seem to be a lot closer to this stuff than most of us.
OK, a virtual SIM makes sense because the Audi digital guy said the module is likely to be faulty.
Vodafone 4g is OK here. The car was connected right up until I put the code in to become the key user. It sounds like it lost it whilst restarting or something. They'll probably disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and might be enough to sort it 🤣

Have you tried soft rebooting the MMI?
(With the ignition on, press and hold the MMI power button on the centre console for 10-20 seconds until it restarts. It’s at the top of the circular touch button with the volume and media controls.)

If you press the (i)/Spanner button in the roof controls does your vehicle successfully initiate a call to Audi Roadside Assistance? Don’t worry you can terminate the call before it connects you to a call handler. The first part of the call is a automated/recorded message. If it doesn’t work it may support the suspicions about a faulty SOS module.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Rebooting the MMI hasn't changed things and the road side assistance says that it is connecting but doesn't connect to anything.
I guess it's "back to the dealership" after all!

Hi @Chilternflyer Did you get anywhere with this? I received my Q4 etron yesterday to find the exact same issue, constantly shows 3G and therefore will not connect to myAudi. Spoke with webchat who suggested rebooting the MMI (didn’t work) and then confirmed it was the LTE that was the problem, advising to take to dealership. I’ve just contacted the dealership prior to turning up who sounded less than enthused in being able to fix the issue. It doesn’t seem a ‘known’ issue on their part. I’m going to attend the dealership regardless but just wondering if you’d had any success?
Yeah sorry. I fixed it myself in the end!
My dealer (and Audi Digital) kept looking for a setup issue rather than a hardware issue. I couldn't get anyone to understand that without a data connection, you can reset as much as you like - it won't fix anything!
I got lost patience with them so I read the user manual then pulled fuses 19 and 20. After a coffee break I plugged them back in again and magically the LTE came back on (top left of the MMI). Everything has been working fine ever since.

Class, cheers mate.

I had a look around online and phoned my mate who reassured me as long as the car was off it was safe. So I went ahead and re-seated the 2 fuses, issue resolved. Mental as the dealership palmed me off today with the 'servers are down' chat.

Got a good mind to swing by tomorrow and tell them...
Yep. As long as the car is switched off you'll be ok.

After I fixed mine, I wrote a letter of compliant to my dealer and pointed out that I'd just saved them a service call plus a courtesy car. You should get something better than an apology for that ;-)

If you do go to you dealership. Do us a favour:- Don't help them by telling them which fuse(s) you pulled. We had to work this out for ourselves!
