Passenger screen issues

I picked up a SQ6 prestige last week and have been having some issues with the passenger screen.

After a couple days I noticed that the screen is now visible from the drivers seat, not a big deal but now the screen gets very hot. Like uncomfortable to touch hot. I broke out the digital thermometer and it was reading 135F at the edges.

anyone else seen this issue?

Mine is the same. Whether it’s visible to the driver or not seems to be intermittent. Sometimes it changes with the content (eg hides games) but it’s not consistent. This seems to be a common complaint. Mine also gets ridiculously hot… if it’s on the map for a long drive to help navigate after an hour it gets uncomfortably hot. I try not to leave it on too long now as that heat can’t do the screen any good in the long term.

That’s the exact same scenario I was having issues with. My son had the map up, the screen got so hot, he couldn’t pinch to zoom.

i’m glad it not just me. I’m guessing that the extra heat is coming from the malfunctioning screen shading. I wonder if the extra energy usage affects the milage in any significant manner. It does seem like it using a lot of extra energy energy.

The ability to see the screen has been around a while now, Audi have not really addressed it or even commented on it. You’ll find that you can see the Home Screen and and settings for the car but not any streaming services. Same with the over heating of the display screen. @LIM reported this shortly after the car was released and nothing has been done.
