Update: Jan 2025

Those who had previously had their car updated to 03.01.00/C under campaign 06XM will now start to receive a notification to have a further update under campaign code 06XL

Whilst we have known about this probably longer than techs in the workshops, customer will get it flagging in the app to book in for the update to be performed.

Update :Audi have now started to notify Q6 & SQ6 customers to arrange workshop visits to update car software.

Looking across other forums* its seems that a select few have been chosen to field test a software update.

This takes the Q6/SQ6 from version 03.00 /C to 03.01.00 /C and the incremental number would suggest if this is released to all owners that this is a small bug fix and enhancement update than adding anything new.

Looking at post, it looks like early adopters who have been selected. Whilst I'm desperate to get an update to help resolve the Traffic Sign Recognition I'm more than happy to let them try and test it first in case it creates new issues..

The update takes 2-3 hours at a dealership, only MMI/App Updates are OTA

Current issues customers have experienced, but not limited to are:

Traffic Sign Recognition / Speed in Km v MPH
Key User Set Up not completed or recognised
Incorrect Data Pack, Set up shows 17 month not 3 years - Fixed for most users
Alerts in German ( in UK Market) - Fixed - No further reports
App Reporting Faults but not on MMI - Audi aware, working on control unit updates
Plug & Charge Certificate not accepted by MMI - Mixed reports fixed by 03.01 update

Missing Features:

Digital Key - Feature added to 03.01.00/ C update. Will work with Apple & Android wallet

That's good to know. Hopefully it's not all buggies! It would be good to get a few new features too.
I'm up to 1,140 miles after my trip to Sussex at the weekend. Although I was getting the traffic sign warning, it didn't seem to have any effect on the adaptive cruise.
I've seen a few of the other faults listed, but mostly, they don't effect the way the car drives or the day to day use.

I was told that the next few updates will be bug fixes and enhancements which makes sense before they roll out new model cars on the PPE platform. I wish they would update the App Store with ABRP ( A better route planner) you can link it to the car and get all the error codes.

I had thought that the traffic sign issue was only in the UK, but it seems they have it in Europe too, the most I have been able to use cruise control is a few miles. I find it confusing how some have issues and others don't, how some can get plug & charge working and other can't. lets see what the update brings.

I agree its really weird how the issues are in come cars and not others and also the way the car is affected.

Quietly I am also hopeful of a release in due course that improves the efficiency and therefore range. Clearly I still have a lot to learn to get the best of range but i would love to be getting close to 300 miles vs the current 250 as its a big drop off vs WLTP compared to other cars I have tried including our Polster.

I know some may disagree with me but I think the MyAudi App is a fundamental problem that customers experience. The Api doesn't always connect to the app, which causes issues with user integration, with charging with Octopus. It gives false alerts that don't exist on the MMI and the range suggestion lol yeah well....

I have had a new MMI update in the last 48 hrs. It seems to have created all sorts of issues. Most I have worked through, reset comms, re linked accounts etc, but I’m left with my charger cannt see the car battery at all. I agree this feels like a crap app link . I’m with octopus intelligent and Ohme pro by the way. It’s very frustrating, but the upshot is the charger always thinks I’m at 0% when I plug it in and creates a schedule that starts pretty much straight away on the cheap tariff … so it’s not all bad..
Anyone else in a similar position that have solved this issue?

I had a similar issue. As a work around try refreshing the Audi app until you get the correct charge showing. Then go into Ohme app Ohme app select charging on the bottom and then pull down and refresh just after you have done the Audi app to try and get them syncying again. I have to do this weekly.

Yesterday I lost all my screens for a few moments. Left the car and then came back and they were on again.

What ever they are doing back end it’s affecting the customer every day now. They now need to do the recall and update all cars with the new software unless they are not confident in it.

I dropped my car off this morning and the software update was added to the job list. They weren't certain how long it would take. It says 3 hours on their system, but they said it may take 1 hour or longer the 3 hours.

it should be 3 hours if it goes smoothly, then you should get an notification from myAudi to tell you about digital key after the update

All booked in for next Tuesday.

Finally managed to do my first charge using the myAudi app. Worked really well although the charger despite being a 150kw was massively impacted by other cars.

With all 4 taken up charge rate peaked at 58kw, with three cars it increased to 78kw and 2 cars just over 100kw. Was quite surprised at the drop off to be honest as we I have tried others I have nearly always been close to the peak despite many other cars charging as well. It was an EG group charger.

My update is all booked in for the 5th. Hopefully it sorts my CarPlay and multimedia issues. Still can’t get CarPlay or any music to work from my phone. I’ve tried the mmi reset and updating the phone software but no luck. I seem to be one of the unlucky ones in so far as efficiency. The best I managed was 3kwh/m on the motorway but normally about 2.5kwh/m. In town even using b-mode it’s 2 to 2.5kwh/m but frequently down as low as 1.7 kwh/m. Is anyone else getting the lack of efficiency showing on the driver display dependent on drive mode? I get the screen that should show it but the efficiency is blank.

Anyone know if Audi dealers are likely to be doing this update as part of their handover of new cars not yet delivered to customers? I’m waiting on delivery of my Q6 in the next couple of weeks (stuck in the port waiting to get into the UK right now) and just wondering if anyone knows if I should expect they’ll have done it pre-delivery or not? I guess I’ll just ask them before arranging delivery to save a trip straight back to the garage days later!

The problems people are experiencing are coming from different issues which is why we don't all have the same issue to the same extent.

Software 03.01 will enhance what's already there and fixes some know issues
Some Come control units need a software update (Told due by end of 2024)
Some may need some componanats replacing.

Some people have been told that the 03.01 update activates OTA but I would be very surprised if it did, which means some may need two updates. Based on how long they take you can understand why they are pushing them to the end of Dec/ Jan
