5 days in and no issues so far though I've only really done town driving.
Did a full charge this morning and it said 301 mile range!
I've started to really enjoy B driving but it certainly takes a bit of getting used to.

Anyway dumb questions that i think would be good to put on this page -
1 Do you always have to enter your PIN number into the MMI when entering the car or is there a setting to bypass this?
2 How do you add shortcut to turn off exceeding speed limit warning? I'm sure i saw something somewhere that you can add this to the * on the steering wheel or as a one button shortcut when entering the car.
3 How do you modify the direct access panel on the MMI to add and remove apps?

Thanks in advance.
The PIN number is due to having multiple profiles set up on the user management section of the MMI.

Connected now. Turned out to be some Privacy setting which stopped comms. Not all good news though. Still can’t start heating remotely but can see status of things.
I tried heating remotely through the app this morning and just kept getting an error code.
The batteries certainly dont like cold weather, my predicted range dropped 100 miles over night due to the frost this morning!

I had connectivity issues with the app last night. It happens unfortunately. As for the range shown on the app… it’s likes yo-yo and you may find when you get in the car and drive that it’s better than what was show on the app.

You can uncheck an option to get rid of the PIN number every time

Somewhere in the MMI options is an option to program the steering wheel button (*). I have programmed mine to turn off the audible speed limit warning.

I have added apps through the store in the MMI

And to remove an app from the App Store, press and hold then uninstall.

Just spent the best part of a week setting up the car to my liking. It’s a bit more complicated than my ex-iPace of 4 years and also misses a few things that the i-Pace had and the e-tron hasn’t. Nevertheless, so far, I am liking what I see. But I can also see there are a few software glitches. Maybe we should share our diagnostics to give them real-world data to work from? Just a thought.

Anyway, my boggle: Anyone else have an issue with the MyAudi App saying the software version is 03.01.00/C, but the car is saying the software is up to date but showing version 03.00.00/C? Any known solutions? Or which is right, the App or the Car?

I do see, but can’t set up, the digital key and plug and charge - these are new and upcoming improvements, let’s hope.

Boggle 2: The boot opens when waving a foot at it but only beeps (two distinct tones) when I need it closed with the same gesture. Probably another glitch.

If I can offer some advice for those new to EVs, the expected mileage on the GuessO’Meter is, you guessed it, a guess, and in the Q6 it’s pretty flaky. If you are driving at motorway speeds, you should pre-heat your car before departure when plugged in with no charging restrictions, reset your trip meter (short/long term memory), select regen 2 bars or mode B if stuck in a queue. Then, when you have driven and used 25% of your battery, check to see what mileage you have done in your short/long term memory display. At 50%, confirm the same day/driving style/heating set-up, etc. You can multiply up from there. Q6 charging speeds seem to be optimal between 10-70% (20-80% is the general guide for EVs). Before and after is just a chore. Save us all from the hoggers that charge 0-10% and 80-100%.

Lastly, 2.6 miles per kWh is a rough guide in a 100 kWh battery (I know 94.summit kWh is usable), but in your short/term memory 2.6 miles/kWh = approx 260 miles, 2.7 miles/kWh = 270 miles per charge as a ROUGH GUIDE. But you will never run a 100 kWh from 100% (94.something usable) and you shouldn’t really run to 0-5% UNLESS you have a charger at both ends of your trip. Hills will have an impact on your mileage M40 High Wycombe —> Banbury great when heading north but a biatch on the way back south. Miles vanish faster that an EV at the traffic lights.….
Enjoy, and remember - people only Post on these forums when they have a boggle that needs fixing, Those who don’t post are the majority. These are some pretty hi-tech and pretty amazing machines.

Digital key needs the latest 3.01 software in the car which has to be updated via the workshop. The app is incorrect, and informs people that they have the latest update when they do not.

Once you have the update you’ll get an email with the activation code for digital key.

Plug and charge has been pulled recently, once you have set up your Audi charge account order the RF card as it’s more reliable.

If you search the forum you’ll find owners issues which discusses the update and general comments.

Delivery of the car to customers is very slow, most people like the car but feel a little let down by software issues.

I personally feel that the 3.01 software has tweaked the handling of the car and get between 2-9-3.2 on a decent trip and around 2.5-2.7 when hoping to the store.

The car battery doesn’t like it to be below 6* outside

Only got the car on Monday 16th Dec, would’ve thought it might have been updated from the showroom. Nevermind, it’ll be done!
I think normally it would have been but it has been paused several times due to issues on some cars that had issues with their control units.

If you call your dealership after the holidays and see if they will book it in, should take around 4 hours but they take the car for the day.

Very useful thread. Appreciate it as I took delivery of my Edition 1 yesterday…

is there any way to remove the PIN on the MMI? Tried some of the options here with no joy…
You can remove the pin on the user profiles section the MMI, the pin is normally when you have more than one profile.

There is my account plus a guest that I can’t seem to delete. Can’t seem to find the option to remove the pin from the user profile section unless I’m just going about it the wrong way.

Thanks for the reply Hppy29

If you click and hold down on your profile icon it should allow you to edit your profile. Normally a pin is only normally active with multiple profiles but can be turned on with one.
