Real Tire Pressure for 21's??

Go with what's on the door sticker, it's correct. Also, the atmosphere is %78 nitrogen, so..................... Only saying that because the last truck I bought, they tried to charge me $400 for "nitrogen filled tires". Maybe there is a high performance benefit, but I just don't see how that extra %22 of nitrogen makes up for the additional hassle for the every day driver. I can check my tire psi and fill it any time I want hat home, but if I've got to get nitrogen, I have to call, make an appointment and pay $$$...........It's a dealership profit margin............... ;)

I have had nitrogen in my cars for over 20 years. You don't have to refill or adjust (our temps go from below freezing to 90's) at least with Michelin tires. I consistently got more than 10,000 miles more out of the same tires after I switched to nitrogen. I am told by Michelin that because the tires run cooler the rubber lasts longer. We are also seeing the same result on my wife's car with Pirelli's.
Sounds exactly like what the dealership told me. I've got air in the tires of all 4 of our vehicles, that's 7 sets of tires (Truck runs BFG AT's year round), never had a problem. I check their pressure when I change over from summer to winter and vice versa. Literally takes 30 seconds a tire. They also get rotated every 6 months during the change over. Usually I replace my tires due to age rather than miles................

To each their own. :\

The costs outweigh the benefits in my opinion. If you have a convenient and inexpensive source of nitrogen, by all means have at it. If like me, there are few places that offer nitrogen and they all charge ridiculous prices for the privilege, it's not that hard to check your tire pressures twice a year.
