Tire pressure monitoring

hello,
Should I save the desired tire pressures in MMI for the TPM to work? When I go to that screen in MMI while driving the car, it usually shows ~42 psi on all tires.. This was the factory/dealer setting and I haven't changed anything. Will the car indicate tire pressure becomes low? or shoud I set the desired range first for it to give me a warning when it goes lower?

thanks. yes. that's the pressure after driving just a little bit.. but do I need to lock the parameters in for the TPM warning to work? In my older car, there was a preset value set at the factory, and it lights up when the pressure goes below that.
