After nearly 7 weeks at the dealer, I finally have my car back and it's been upgraded to 3.01c.
Previously, I'd not been able to register for the 3GB monthly data plan, but this is now working fine.
I am still seeing the 47VW Campaign S-Checking Brake Servo in the myAudi App though. Is anyone else also seeing this? I was told by my dealer that this recall had been done on the car.
It's-5 here with lite snow this morning.
1. The remote climate control errored as per the screenshot. View attachment 15012
2. The charging flap didn't artempt to close at all when the charging cable was disconnected. I had to gently push it closed at which point the motor locked it.
3. The wing mirrors would'nt unfold. Once id driven 0.5 mile up the road i tried the interior button again, and they unfolded.
4. When setting up the digital key using the myAudi App and sat in the vehicle with bluetooth an wifi connected, i'm getting "network error". Ill try again later where there's a btter reception.

Not a great start!

I have a 700 mile round trip planned at the weekend, so I'll probmvide an update next week.
I received my vehicle with version 3.01c, and the remote climate option was neither working nor available on the MMI. After several exchanges with their support team, I was informed that this functionality was not supported for my vehicle configuration. However, to my surprise, a few days ago the feature became available on the MMI. Now, the version shows 3.00.00/C – remotely downgraded ?!

I suspect you looked at the version of software on the App? The true version is on the cars MMI. I am not sure they can downgrade the software OTA

You're right. When I received the car, I only checked the version on the application, and it showed 3.01.00/C. However, now both the app and the MMI display 3.00.00/C.

lots of people had the same issue with the app showing the incorrect version. I believe that Audi corrected this last week.

The car probably had a reboot of the MMI which fixed the issues you had. As you learn with the car and its niggles, is that an MMI reboot is normally the first thing to do as it’s the easiest. Although, always take a photo of any error codes if it’s safe to do so.

MMI reboot is by pressing and holding down the volume on/off dial in the car for 10 seconds. You’ll see it reboot on the right hand side of the cockpit display.

I'd be interested in what happens if you joined your car to your home wi-fi and had your phone on the same network. When I park my car in the garage it joins my home network and seems to make the sync more reliable.

I, myself have only had a connection issue twice and it was after the car was idle for over two days. Jumping back in the car and waking it up resolved the issue.

There is no direct connection to change car settings. If it's not working then it doesn't matter.

The network issue has been on and off for me. Took me a while to change my charging target the other day.

My service campaign notice took about a week before it vanished.

I would check the MMI database ( navigation settings, disclaimer - ) hasn’t been updated. Normally a day after the bug update. This caused minor bugs for me that required an MMi reboot to resolve. In fact everytime they do and OTA it requires a reboot.
A couple of updates.
The network issue seems to have been me not understanding the process for adding the digital key. I had received an email telling me that my profile had been updated following me contacting the dealer to let them know that I was trying to configure the digital key. Following that the option for the digital key was no longer greyed out in the myAudi App.
Incorrectly, I was clicking into the digital key option in the App to try to configure it, and that's when I was getting the network error.
Only late yesterday did I receive the correct email with a link to download the digital key to my phone. Once I'd clicked on it and followed the onscreen prompts, I got back in the car to complete the pairing. I can now unlock and start the car using my phone.
It would be quite simple for Audi to add a prompt in the App to tell you that you first need to download the Digital Key before you can configure anything in the App. It would have saved a lot of head scratching. Unfortunately, this seems to be the common theme with the Q6!

Also, this morning, I've been able to use the remote climate control without issue. Perhaps because I'd rebooted the MMI multiple times yesterday while attempting to configure the digital key?

They don’t want to make it easy for you do they. I never contacted the dealer for anything, I just got one email that told me I had all the prerequisites required and to click the link with your code. And that was it.

But after people getting locked out of cars, and alarms going off I’ve elected to deactivate digital key.

It will be interesting to see if you have the incorrect speeds on motorways or any issues with charging as our cars were built more or less the same time.

I’m a new SQ6 owner and from day 1 I’m seeing similar issues that others are reporting. Just to check my understanding, will the update be available OTA as I was expecting from a new car, or will this be a dealer visit?

03.01.00/C is not available OTA.

Your SQ6 will require a dealership visit. Book it in and request a courtesy car as it takes a day

Rudy, Great to hear you got your car back. It gives me hope I might get mine back as well.
My Q6 is still with Audi (7 weeks now), as they are waiting for the "control unit oil" which is on back order.
Just useless, and even more frustrating there is no one to talk to.
I've started the process to rejection of the car with the leasing company Let's see who will be slower Audi fixing the car or the leasing company trying to deflect

Apologies for what may sound like a stupid question - is this new update an anomaly requiring a dealer visit? Should I expect future updates to be OTA, and if so whats the reason that this one isn't?

As a very new owner I'm discovering that lots of things are not as I expected. So far I'm just struggling trying to find things in the software as that in itself isn't intuitive. I'm starting to feel that my 4 year old BMW was much better.

The 3.01 software update is for the car and its systems and has to be done by a dealership, and as its a new to market product it is having what some may call teething issues. I believe for now these have to be done by at a dealership.

The car is already getting OTA MMI DB updates, that comes weekly at the moment. But nobody is aware what it included in those updates.

OK thanks, that's a strange setup - my previous BMW and also our Tesla (which is of course somewhat different) both updated various modules of the base vehicle components. This seems like quite a backwards step.

Rudy - great to hear you got your car back after all this time. Out of interest did they offer you anything as an appology?
No, the lady i'd been dealing with to date had been on leave for a couple of weeks, so someone new handed the car back. There was barely a mention of how long the update had taken.

I'm sorry to hear that. I did 600+ miles in mine oflver the weekend, and other than no sound from any source other than the satnav until I stopped to recharge and locked the car, it ran pretty well. It only manged 2.0 miles per KWH o the way there and 2.2 on the way back. I do have a heavy right foot though!

My Q6 went in yesterday for it's update, I was told it would be in for the day, then by 10am they said they needed it over night and possibly longer. They did provide me an office for the morning and then a loan car in fairness. Waiting to see when it comes back, they did say to me that every ECU on my car will have new software! Can't wait.....I wonder what won't work now!
