If I'm correct road data comes from here.com. I've tried to update some roads etc that were at my list mile and not correct on their platform: HERE Map Creator Yet, they are so slow to check changes that it took me 2 years to make it almost right. BMW, Mercedes, Vag group (audi, volkswagent etc) - all of them are using this maps.

I'm wondering what is doing google icon on map? Maps are 100% from HERE. Only better thing then in my previous BMW from 7 years ago is that maps are updated OTA and (over my wife 2022 Mercedes) - it's daily update not twice/year. Maybe they show google logo due to google search embedded?

BTW, some of you are raising concerns about incorrect speed signs. Is this your first car with this technology? It improves a little every year. Seven years ago, it was much worse than it is now. This isn’t an Audi-specific issue—it’s the same across different manufacturers.
That’s not strictly true. I’ve have this in other cars including my last car and it wasn’t an issue like this. Often when they had done roadworks they would not lift speed restrictions but not as often as this is. And to be honest I don’t care about other cars or how bad it was seven years ago. This is the car I have paid £94k for and this is the car I’m driving now. I am however realistic but I’m certainly not here to make excuses for them. If they know it is indeed out of date data then either update it, get another supplier or take away that feature.
The problem that Audi have now, is when you have a series of problems or issues and they are not dealt with correctly you then find faults in everything. And rightly so, this isn’t an £1k iPhone.

That’s why I was considering holding off on the update for a while. I can live with my car as it currently is, and maybe there will be a second update coming in a month or two which actually makes things better rather than worse, therefore I will wait until the early adopters have surfaced the bugs back to Audi and the fixes are confirmed to work.
But it’s not all software, if you have a mechanical problem like a control unit issue then waiting isn’t going to resolve it but kick the can down the road. Obviously you can make your own choice but you may limit your redress in the future.

So I’ve now had the update… most of the warnings have now gone. However as others have experienced I no longer have the ability to turn on my A/C from the app. When I go into the mmi and try to select auxiliary heating it tells me it’s not available due to a fault. My Apple CarPlay and multi media will work once on restarting the mmi but then not available on any subsequent attempts.

It seems the most used feature of the Q6 seems to be an MMI reboot

3 weeks?! I hope that’s cause you’re going on an exotic holiday and leaving the car there whole you’re away :ROFLMAO:
Yea, I start my travel tomorrow and will be back 3 weeks later. I told them that you can have the car for 3 weeks and make sure all problem resolve when I come back to collect the car.😂

My car was updated at the end of November last year, which was recall 06XM. Recently I received a message that I needed to update the car again. I was told that the new recall action is 06XL. I asked about what the update consists of, but the service guy could only mention generic things. My car is being updated now, hopefully it goes smoother then the two days of updating in November (Yes I know it can be worse ;-) )

My update was planned on 6th of January, I’m still waiting because the software update was not a success and it blocks all new updates. In my opinion, besides the updates, the limited experience (quality and capacity) how to update the software or how to deal with software issues is part of the problem

Morning All! Just an update before boarding to the plane! Dealership just called and informed that the software update has been successfully and taken the car for test drive (25 miles). No issue encountered. All good and ready to collect after 3 weeks!

That's good news ahead if your holiday! Have a great time!

I’m taking delivery of a Q6 in a week or two so I’ve been following this discussion. Why are these sw updates performed at the dealers instead of over the air?
Getting back to you on this question. Took delivery yesterday (US) and it has 3.01.00/C. Build date was 10/24 so this must have been done at the port.

All good, no issues, everything works.
