I finally got the 06XM notification on the app last week and have the car booked in next week, I have to admit I’m pretty hesitant as my car has had very few issues. Even the app has been alright the last 2 weeks!

As an aside the dealer initially tried charging £25 for a courtesy car or collect/drop off service, which I found laughable! As mines on an EV scheme at work I told the fleet manager they could take the car back if they think I’m paying £25 every time this car needs to go to the dealers, eventually the dealer waived the fee on ‘this occasion‘
I have It booked for tomorrow. I am also hesitant as my car, like yours, has had few issues. Asked my dealer if they have received feedback from other car owners who have updated. So far not bad feedbacks. My Q6 is the rwd.

Car had the update related to the 06XL campaign, whilst in the car park at the dealership CarPlay refused to connect, parts of the Audi App says you need to be key User to use it (app says you are key user).

Workshop said, log out and back in lol. If it continues we will speak with Germany

Mine is going back Friday for diagnostics. My aux conditioning failed immediately and now the A/C has also stopped working. My CarPlay connected once and then the next time I got in I lost all sound, the phone wouldn’t connect, the media and CarPlay stopped working again and the mmi froze. It didnt reset properly until after doing the mmi reset and shutting the car down overnight. My phone now connects again but I only get radio or music through one of the apps but this of course uses up my 3gb pretty quickl.

If the AC has totally failed this will most likely require a hard reset. There have been a couple of us who have had this happen. quickest way to deal with it is call out Audi assist and make sure its Audi assist and not the AA.

So update on my car Audi have rejected my claim to reject the car but have paid compensation of £1,500, so at least that's something.

Latest update is scheduled for this Friday so I will see how that goes.
At least they acknowledge the inconvenience, make sure you don’t sign anything that could effect any claim in the future. There are people returning their cars on this forum, I wonder what the point of return is for them to accept a rejection.

That was my thought too. However I discovered it on my drive to work and as I’m out of the country and not getting back until Weds I figured the workshop can do it on Friday with the other bits that audi digital service have now organised. The bonus being I have a courtesy car if they screw it up.

How does the compensation effect your rights if Audi are still unable to resolve the issues?
Are you now stuck with the car for the full term?

With the 06XL campaign, it is related to stopping cars locking users out. But on an Audi document it says " On Audi Q6 e-tron vehicles manufactured within a specific period, there may be an unfavourable software configuration within the HCP4 architecture. As a result, it may sometimes not be possible to unlock the vehicle"

But the HCP4 also controls among other things comfort functions such as light control, air conditioning and seat adjustment and clearly locking.

So is that unfavourable software effecting more than just locking/ Unlocking the car? And why only cars made in a set time period?

Id assume that it only affects cars within a certain period because the specification of that module was updated. This would be inline with many early cars needing the module replacing.

I agree, and interestingly when you look at what functions are controlled by/with the HCP4, such as
Another function of the HCP4

"As part of permanent monitoring, the twelve Cell Module Controllers (CMC) send data such as the current module temperature or cell voltage to the BMCe, which sends its information,
for example, regarding the State of Charge (SoC), to the high-
performance computer HCP4 (part of the new electronic architecture E 1.2).

This computer, in turn, sends the data to the new predictive
thermal management system, which regulates cooling or
heating as required for optimum battery performance"

So how much of this unfavourable software with the HCP4 has caused issues with other areas of the car?

Just a thought..

Update done. So far nothing to report. Let’s see coming days.

If I had to guess, right now they have different builds for different hardware/component versions, which is a nightmare. If so they'd better get to one codebase and one sequential release strategy soon or I guarantee they will not be able to sustain any kind of frequent updates, and OTA is almost certainly out of the question.
I think that’s a fair assumption. I think for example there’s a US specific campaign I’ve seen mentioned. I guess it goes some way to explain some having a smooth time and others absolutely not.

Trying to stay positive, hopefully that means they’re getting a handle on the issues and newer cars will be better - components updated, software matures and working baselines set (also this is beta level not what we should be discussing in production). Downside, some of them early cars may be troublesome for a while (or worse never quite working as intended, but hopefully not).

I ordered late Dec. With full knowledge that this is a new software orientated platform for a legacy maker - and let’s be honest they’ve all had teething problems vs the new breed of software first marques - so I was braced for issues but excited and eager nonetheless. My delivery date is mid-March, and I’m now quite happy for it to be delayed and stay in the oven a little longer if it means a smoother experience when I finally lands.

Until then I’m absorbing as much as possible from the various online sources, which have been great.

Hello all. I am also scared. I am picking up my car this afternoon after the 06XL update. Lets see how it goes.

I had issues before the update like false indication on tire pressure, anti colision getting off line often, etc.
A lot of people including myself had the tyre warning. That was either due to the changes in cold weather or was rectified as I haven’t had that issue for over a month.

Is your car already on 03.01.00 /c and just on a new campaign 06XL?

You can’t change what will happen good or bad, so I would try not to worry too much about it.
