His car as been with the workshop for 4 weeks, with little to no update. Several issues, then diagnostics sent to Germany. Now awaiting a new control unit and software update.

There are many across different forums all with issues requiring assistance from Germany.
Oh no, that doesn’t look promising!

I guess at least I have this courtesy car, hopefully reliable! For when I have to drive to Heathrow over Christmas.

I noticed a very interesting feature of my car. I do not know how this is related, but maybe someone will explain it to me.
I have a car canopy and there is a lamp with motion sensor on the ceiling.
When my Q6 parked there, every 30-60 seconds the motion sensor is triggered and lamp lights up. But when my Tesla Y parked there - everything is ok. Nothing happens.
So looks like there are some signals that Q6 is sending that affect the motion sensor.
I thought that it was garage door opener and I disabled it. But this happens again and again.
And I suppose that this could be a reason why my 12v battery died some time ago.
It was before and after the update.
It happens when the car locked or unlocked.
So very annoying thing:)

Q6 Launch Edition in Ireland - Quattro, panoramic sun roof, passenger MMI (tech pro pack).
Picked up the car on November 11th.
The usual issues - the software update notification came up on the app, rang the dealership, booked an appointment, then got a call the day before it that they haven’t received proper instructions from Audi so the update is suspended at the moment.

All was going well. Just shy of 2000km since I got it.

This came on yesterday. Car went into limp mode. Within 1 km the warning became red. Car started behaving as if you’ve gone to the highest gear on an ICE vehicle while driving at 10km/he.
Charge and Power indicators on the bottom right corner started fluctuating. Pulled over to the side. Turned the car back on, yellow warning again, turned red within 100m without the car sputtering this time.
Rang the dealership, they advised to ring Audi Assistance. Car was towed away.
I want to cry 🥲

@Pzparv I hope they didn't tow it, and placed it on the back of a truck! Had you had the new update yet?

We can all sympathise and feel your pain right now. Make sure you get a courtesy car from your dealership incase the car has an extended stay at the workshop.

Sorry I meant was taken away on a flat bed, wasn’t towed. Not likely to be looked at before christmas 😕.
didn’t get the update as the dealer reverted back to say it is suspended.

Hopefully they can fix and update at the same time in the new year.
Thanks! Has anyone else faced a similar problem that went away with just a software update?
Also, has anyone else noticed when reversing into a carpark space, the car detecting cross traffic out of nowhere and slams the breaks as if you’ve hit something?

The update does help with unjustified warnings but has in some cases highlighted parts (control units) that have been problematic. Normally if its something that they can not initially resolve it ends up with the car diagnostics being sent to Germany for a solution.

And I see you have found the new hidden feature - cross traffic. My car always does it at Waitrose when it detects a post behind the parking spot. At least we know it works

Yes its very aggressive to say the least and quite scary the first couple of times

BUT

It did actually prevent me hitting a cyclist riding past my house on the pavement, somehow the system detected them through a high fence as they were totally blind to me visibly.

Q6 Edition 1 delivered in October. Car drives fine although handling and performance not as good as iPace that I had before. Similar issues to many of you…. I can't get the timed charging to work overnight. Speed sign recognition all over the place Sat nav strange. Audi Customer Service promised software update but as with others here, it’s been delayed. I haven't got time or inclination to fiddle with car and app settings so chasing Audi. This stuff just needs to work. All very frustrating considering the Jaguar was painless.

Ah! That happened to me today. The problem is there was NOTHING actually behind me! Then later on when I was reversing out of a parking bay it did the same and was stuck in neutral. Left me blocking the car park. Took a few minutes of switching power off and on to clear (I have posted this on a separate thread!). Has left me a bit concerned tbh! Had a Tesla Model 3 for the last 3 years and never had any issues! :(
