Just wondering how solid the e-tron is. Does anyone have any rattles or is this a rarity in the e-trons?
Glad to hear! If the alerts are too frequent, you can adjust PreSense response among Early/Standard/Late.Glad to report after taking everything out of the car and driving it. The annoying rattle/ thump just disappeared. It’s as though I’m holding my breath every time I go on brick roads , but, so far so good. I repacked only what was essential and padded all the boxes. The cubby on the left of the wheel had an umbrella and flashlight. All I can say is I’m happy with the car. Once again.
on another not. I have a sport back and have not had an issue with rear visibility. The cross traffic has kicked in. It really kicks in too. But no issues.
Hello Zouf, the suspension rattle description is just teh same I have during these cold mornings i Finland, I have had my 2019 just for 5 weeks, not really much miles driven just 30000 km when I boug the car. Very much rattling if the roads were icy and the temperature below 5 and in the afternoon it was gone. Have you any solutions or did your dealer come up with any solutions?? Very intreseted to know how is it now has the rattle disappeared.??Had a really bad rear suspension rattle - sounded like an old pickup truck with bad shock absorbers - that only occurred in cold weather (below -5C). There's a service bulletin covering an issue with rear shocks mounting points. There's also the classical front passenger safety belt clip holder, which can slip all the way down when nobody is sitting in the passenger seat, and make the seat belt latch bang on the side panel. Just lift it all the way up.
Was there any resolution for you in the last year? I've got the exact same issue on my 2019 Prestige (21" wheels). Audi recently disassembled the entire passenger side of the dash, as well as the underlying HVAC components. They tightened and reassembled everything and the rattle is still there. Not really. Audi tried and I tried a few times but it keeps coming back. I'm not sure, but it may be related to the dash covering below the glove box. It seems to be a simple plastic sheet that can shift around a bit. I'm thinking it might slip into a position so that it vibrates against the side from time to time. What's interesting about the rattle is that big bumps don't really seem to cause it. It is smaller more frequent car shaking (from road roughness) that sets off the rattle.
No, it was never resolved. I traded for a Q8 etron, so far no problem! Was there any resolution for you in the last year? I've got the exact same issue on my 2019 Prestige (21" wheels). Any update? Did that solve the problem? I have a similiar rattle coming from the center console and will be taking my 2022 Sportback into the dealer in a few weeks. Really hope they can resolve the issue.I'm still waiting on the new air vent parts to come in hopefully soon & I will update you all on the results
Were you ever able to get the rattle resolved? I have a 2022 that I just purchased two months ago and it has a similiar rattle coming for the dash area or center console. It’s at the dealer now and they said it could take a week since they may have to pull out some of the dash to find the rattle…I really didn’t like the sound of that, but would like for them to find the rattle. My car is 2 weeks old and has a rattle from the center console, it comes and goes which is very annoying
Did the deal get your rattle resolved?I am getting an annoying rattle/clunk in the center console area as well. When I go over bumps or a sharp turn. I’ve stripped everything out of the car and it’s still there. I’ve had it just over a year and it’s just started. When I take it in I’ll see what the dealership can do.
With the exterior noise levels being so low, designing the cabin interior for the Audi etron must be a Designer's nightmare....you hear EVERY little rattle! Not so happy to report, my rattle is back! I think it’s the same rattle as before but not certain. I’m taking the car in next week for the home charger recall and will have them address the rattle again. Otherwise, 6 months so far and my e-tron has been trouble free and a joy to drive. Wish me luck in getting my rattle issue resolved.
I have a 2022 e-tron and yes there is a rattle in the passenger side back door control panel cover. I test drove another one that also had a rattle in the same vicinity. I'm hoping the dealer has a fix.Just wondering how solid the e-tron is. Does anyone have any rattles or is this a rarity in the e-trons?
I had similar rattles and the dealer was able to resolve the issue. One suggestion that worked for me, when you drop off the car, as for a technician or the shop manager to go for a ride alone to hear the rattle. I did that and the technician was able to resolve the issues. Good luck.I have a 2022 e-tron and yes there is a rattle in the passenger side back door control panel cover. Any joy with the rear vents, did it fix the issue? Think I have the same issue.2022 sport back
I have a rattle from center console seems to be caused by the rear facing air vents
The dealer ordered a set of replacement louvres going back next week for install
I will let you all know if it solves the problem
