I'm up next Tuesday for the update. Really curious if it will fix a few bugs. My biggest issue is that the connection with myAudi isn't working at all.
When you say it isn’t working at all, what do you mean exactly? I am asking as I have the issue of not being able to load my MyAudi account settings into MMI, as that fails due to a technical error..

Hi Rudy, sorry to hear about your experience. Did you left the car for them and pick up on next Monday or you just drove the car off, which I would do.

thanks
Waiho
I brought the car home. None of the issues are bad enough to stop me using the car.

Except that when you add the item to the job sheet, it clearly states 3 hours. The lady booking me in even went to check with the workshop manager while I was sat waiting.
I'm hoping tomorrow brings you better look with the update! Some of our German friends who have had the update report that digital key worked and then had a bit of a melt down and stopped working. I would make sure for a while you take your actual key too!!

As of Saturday night into Sunday as I am no longer getting any traffic sign issues or faults. I find this odd, as like you I have had non stop issues from day 1.

I also noticed that a Navigation database update was installed OTA on 12/11/24

Mines booked in for the 20th, let’s hope it does actually do something to improve all the issues we are seeing!

Did they manage to do your update
Nope! No contact from them today at all.
It looks like they've given up making excuses As to why they haven't done it!
Tomorrow will be day 4.

WTF! You have more patience than me, I would be calling and demanding to know what the delay is. You don’t mind them doing what they doing they just need to tell you. I’d me asking for the service manager

If the day hadn't run away from me, I would have been.
I've never owned an Audi before, and going by the experience I've had so far, this is very likely to be my last.

I would be emailing the UK director of Audi UK. At this rate they are going to have another claim against them. Sorry it’s totally spoiled your experience.

As an early adopter of the Q6 I expected issues/bugs. What i didn't expect is a total mismanagement of the product at every step of the way. From the complete lack of information through the build phase, the delays due to software not being ready for release. Which seems laughable now! To the non-existant handover, to the equally non-existent dealer knowledge, and now it seems, a total lack of customer service. Of course things will always go wrong, but I measure a brand on how well it deals with issues.

It does make that Tesla offer look good, zero interest on purchases, 1 year free charging and software that works. I would not be as patient as you.

TimeLine
13th: Received the car. The MyAudi system didn’t work in the car, even with help from the dealer. When trying to log in from the car, I kept getting the error message: “Error, please try again later.”

14th: Called roadside assistance because the alarm kept going off after locking the car. The difference compared to the 13th was that I had parked the car differently.

15th: The dealer tried to resolve the initial issues, including software problems, but despite several resets, they couldn’t fix anything.

25th: I attempted to log into MyAudi in the car every day, and suddenly it worked on this day. Then I saw an error message about my left rear window being slightly open, and I realized it wasn’t functioning at all.

26th: Appointment with the dealer for winter tires, a system update, and a check on the rear window. At the end of the day, I received a call saying they couldn’t complete the update and are in contact with the factory to figure out what to do.

27th: Waiting for an update today.

5th December
First trip to Austria for vacation—about 1,000 km of driving. I'm curious to see how the range will actually perform. Previously, I had an A5 with front-wheel drive and relatively little grip. I’m interested to see how the Q6 quattro will handle.

Overall:
I’m being very well assisted by the dealer, but you can see they’re at a loss and waiting for guidance from Audi.

Day 4 in the workshop
This mornings update from the service manager.
The car "should be" looked at today, but they don't know if one of the recalls may require parts!
They will give me an update this afternoon.

Is this standard Audi customer service, or have I just had the misfortune of living locally to one of the least adept?

They should get to look at it today? I am annoyed and angry for you! I think he can cut the crap and just be upfront with you and just be upfront about what's going on. `I would hire a car, and then email the UK director as I did for the initial delays.

Apparantly they don't have many "high voltage" trained technicians, so it can only be looked at when one becomes free.
Perhaps booking the car in on a date when said technician is available would be an idea! Is it really so difficult?

Hi what is the email for the UK director please - really feel for everyone here experiencing issues. I’ve had my delivery date pushed back and back with no sign of it being delivered yet due to a need for a software update. I’m sick of waiting now but probably not In a position to cancel so I’d like to email this director if nothing just to give him some “constructive feedback”.

A couple of weeks ago I simply emailed the AUDI CEO. Mail was picked up by executive office and diverted to UK. A lady called me who was very polite, but since my second etron is in another European market they could not help and closed the complaint. I’m now waiting for the software update to see if that sorts the issues.

Many have asked questions about what’s fixed and what enhancements have been made in the latest update. Without official release notes from Audi, it has been left to those who have had the software update to update forums with their findings.

For those who have not yet had the update, the software will be updated to Software 03.01.00 /C. The update should take around three hours if your car doesn’t suffer any issues that may complicate the update. And normally, the workshop will require the car for the full day.

As you may have seen on forums, some of the early deliveries have had some cars that seem to have had some quality issues with control units, which, if this is a mechanical issue, will not be resolved by the update, although some control units can accept updates and resolve the issues some users have had. For those who issues are regarding control units, diagnostics are done and they are sent to Germany to determine what action should be taken. The update is currently delivered at a workshop and is not a simple click download like you would a computer. It requires an EV technician to do the update and may require some interaction as well as making changes to their network to deliver the update Technical details about the update are held on a system called ElsaPro and the workshop follow the instructions, fault find and report through this.

The software update contains a series of measures intended to improve quality, as well as several functional enhancements. The software update improves several functions and reduces the occurrence of unjustified warning messages. For example, the vehicle’s charging functions and their availability have been optimised. This applies to features such as the use of speech recognition via the Audi assistant, the navigation system, and for mobile phone connections. Occupant detection, sound output, and the content displayed on the screens have also been optimised. In addition to this, the digital key function has been activated on vehicles with this optional equipment.

Digital Key

Once you have had the software update, this will allow the process and activation of Digital Key. You will require a passcode, which is sent by MyAudi; in my instance, this was by email. You can find the settings for Digital Key in the “All Functions” section of the MyAudi app. When I first opened this section, it tried to start the process but was told there was an issue. A little while later, I had the email with a passcode, and the options to set up digital key were visible.

You can set up digital key in a mobile wallet using the link on the email . You can use your mobile or the Silver Audi RF Card that you received when you took ownership of the car. It works on Android or Apple phones running the latest software.

Disclaimer: The feedback about digital key has been mixed across other forums, and you may want to test the update before activation of digital key to see what’s been fixed for you and if any issues are still present. When you do enable digital key it maybe wise to also carry the regular key as an additional measure in the short term.

Traffic Sign Recognition Issues

This, for me, was resolved by an OTA MMI database update prior to the 03.01 update. You can check when your MMI database was last updated in the navigation system. Click the settings icon in the top left corner and go down to the disclaimer section. This should open some settings, look down the list, and you should see that database updates are enabled, and it should have had an update anytime after the 20/11/24 Eur_15 If you have this enabled, the update now will not do anything.

Do not be deterred from having the update done based on issues that you have read, your car either needs to be updated or have parts replaced.
